“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done.”  Philippians 4:6

Have you ever sat down with your children and asked them if they have any worries?  Sometimes, children act out in ways that are symptoms of something deeper…the “root” worry.  We react to their irrational behavior but may never get down to the heart issue with them.  Sometimes, it is because we are too busy or too distracted with our own worries to realize they may have their own worries and are absorbing the adult anxiety around them. I encourage you to first…learn to take your own worries to Jesus and pray “without ceasing” in your heart.  Take time to remember everything good that He has done and is doing and let your worries fade in the light of His goodness.

Take time to sit with your children and ask them if they have anything they are worried about.  You might be surprised what they tell you.  Pray with them and model thankfulness with them!  Teach them to cast their cares on Jesus because He loves them!
